Lake Wallace is located one hour west of the Blue Mountains just off the
Great Western Highway near the town of Wallerawang. It is relatively a
small impoundment that has become popular to local and traveling
anglers. The area is well stocked with both rainbow and brown trout.
Lake Wallace is the first in line of three local dams which are fed
directly and indirectly by the famed Coxes. The big drawcard for W'ang
dam provide a great chance of hooking a trophy fish.
The area is more productive during the day especially when you go to the
deeper section of the dam. Spin and bait fishing are among the common
technique used by many anglers.
The shallow water in the out flow offers excellent fishing for all
techniques especially during nightime.
